He is survived by : his friend Heavenly; his parents, Lisa Stevens and Lance Stevens; his siblings, Anthony, Nicolas (Krisi Stevens), Sarah Stevens (Nicolas Lockwood) and William Stevens; his grandparents, Gail Stevens of Unionville, VA, Alan and Leslie Baribeault of Salem, MA; his girlfriend Maddie Hins; his aunts and uncles, Mark Baribeault, Kim Baribeault, Aimee, Adam Assur, Shawn, Stephanie Stevens and Kevin Denniston; his cousins, Korrynn, Todd, Sadey Stevens, Claire, Shepard, Lila Assur, Nathaniel, Abigail and Jacob Denniston; and his nieces and nephews, Kyleigh, Owen, Haydin, Torri, Addison, Kenzie, Nova, Stella and Daxson. Matthew and Clare got together in 2002 after meeting in a kebab shop in Swansea. When you see how much money youve earned and you see where the moneys gone, its a bit of a shock. Matthew “Boss” Bernard Stevens, Sr. born on January 23, 1941 passed away after an almost 7 year battle with kidney and heart disease at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester, VT surrounded by his family on January 9, 2022. 
 
Matthew was predeceased by his parents, Anthony Joseph Stevens, Sr. from Syracuse, NY and Juliette Mary (Boyer) Stevens of Essex Junction, VT.  Matthew is survived by; son Ricky Stevens and his wife Diane (Parrow) Stevens, of Essex Junction, VT, son Matthew Stevens, Jr. and his wife Nam Suk (Kim) Stevens, of Matawan, NJ, daughter Kimberly (Stevens) Barnier and Richard Barnier Jr, of Essex Junction, VT, and son Michael Stevens, of Milton, VT. Also surviving are his grandson Richard Barnier, III and his wife Katina (Crete) Barnier, of Essex Junction, VT, and his 3 great-grandchildren, Karlee Barnier, Richard Barnier and Harper Barnier, as well as a very large extended family, step-daughter Linda (Hardy) Marrier and her husband Jim Marrier, of Grand Isle, VT, step-daughter Donna (Hardy) Beliveau and her husband Leo Beliveau, of Burlington, VT, predeceased (1985) by step-son Robert Hardy, Jr., of Burlington, VT,  step-son Kristopher Hardy, step-daughter Debbie (Hardy) Wark and her husband Dave Wark, of Burlington, VT, step-daughter Mary (Hardy) Patenade and her husband Jason Patenade, of Charlotte, VT which brought 15 step-grandchildren and 18 step-great grandchildren.
